Not that it matters to me but a black president, or a woman president for the matter, would be unprecedented in the history of America. My personal hope is for America to have a stronger economy. Barack Obama comes in fresh with revolutionary ideas, people have hope; hope for the better, hope for a change.

However, if you look at politics here in Malaysia, we also had hope for the better with a new State government, even though the alternative coalition failed to wrest the Federal government but are there changes on the whole? None that I could see so far.
In fact, many of these so called new government representatives are eerily emulating the shadows of the old officials. Am I disappointed? No. All I have to do is to wait for four years.
So, one wonders if Barack Obama, or whoever who will become the new President of the United States would be able to do anything differently from the present government. These candidates are fighting for a chance to office and one of them will be given this chance in the hopes that “change” will finally be here. Well, we just have to wait and see.
